German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. potatoes, boiled
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 large slices ham, cut small, or 10 strips cooked bacon, cut small
    vinegar
    water
    salt
    sugar
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients together.
    Mix vinegar, water, salt and sugar according to taste in a large measuring cup to sweet-sour consistency.
    Pour over potato mixture, as much as desired.
    May be served warm or cold.
