Festive Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 eggs
    2 (16.6 oz.) pkg. date bread mix or (15.4 oz.) nut bread mix
    2 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. (12 to 13 oz.) candied cherries
    1 c. candied pineapple, cut up
    corn syrup (if desired)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour sides and bottom of tube pan.
    In large bowl, combine water, oil and eggs.
    Add remaining ingredients (except syrup).
    Stir by hand until combined.
    Pour into prepared pan and bake 75 to 85 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean on low oven rack.
    Cool in pan 30 minutes.
    Loosen and remove from pan.
    Cool completely.
    Wrap to keep refrigerated (2 weeks) or freeze (3 months).
