Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pecans
    1/2 c. raisins
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg, cloves and mace
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    2 sticks butter
    1 c. sugar
    5 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/4 c. brandy, sherry or whiskey
Preparation
    Break up nuts; mix half of the flour with raisins and nuts. Sift other flour with spices and soda.
    Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten yolks, molasses and wine.
    Fold in beaten egg whites, then floured raisins and nuts, lastly, the sifted flour.
    Pour into greased pan.
    Bake 2 hours at 300\u00b0.
    Cool.
    Sprinkle with wine, whiskey or brandy.
    Wrap in waxed paper.
