Grandma'S Swedish Blueberry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box blueberries
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 slices buttered bread (three if thin)
    whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
    Boil sugar and water until it thickens as syrup.
    Add blueberries and boil 3 to 4 minutes.
    Butter a casserole dish. Place a slice of bread, a layer of berries, alternating and ending with berries on top.
    Chill in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
    Serve with whipped cream.
