Stewed Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 slice bread, crumbled
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Place all ingredients, except butter, cornstarch and water, in a saucepan.
    Cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes.
    Break up tomatoes with a spoon.
    Stir occasionally.
    Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to other ingredients.
    Let mixture thicken.
    Remove from heat and add butter.
    Serve hot or cold.
