Strawberry Charlotte Russe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry-flavored gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. crushed strawberries (fresh or frozen)
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 c. heavy cream, whipped
    ladyfingers
Preparation
    Put gelatin in a large bowl; add boiling water and stir until dissolved.
    Combine strawberries, lemon juice, sugar and salt; stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Combine with gelatin mixture. Chill to consistency of beaten egg whites.
    Fold in whipped cream. Line side of spring-form pan with ladyfingers.
    Carefully spoon mixture into pan and chill for 4 to 5 hours.
    Decorate top with additional strawberries and whipped cream, if desired.
