Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco or butter
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs (whole)
    1/2 c. cocoa, dissolved in 1 c. thick sour milk or buttermilk
    3 c. flour, sifted (add half now)
    2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 c. thick sour milk or buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix ingredients in the order written; beat well.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes, then turn up to 375\u00b0 to finish.
