Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. shortening
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. grated orange peel
juice from 2 oranges
3 c. shredded cheese (Cheddar or Velveeta)
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. halved cranberries
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease 2 (9 x 5 x 3-inch) loaf pans.
Cut shortening into flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and orange peel.
Add water to juice to measure 1 1/2 cups.
Blend juice with cheese and eggs.
Mix juice and cheese mixture with dry ingredients.
Fold in cranberries and nuts.
Bake for 60 to 70 minutes.
Let stand for 8 hours before slicing.
