Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
1 tsp. vinegar
2 egg whites
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Boil together sugar, water and vinegar to 238\u00b0, or until syrup spins a long thread when dropped from spoon.
Beat egg whites stiff.
Gradually add syrup beating constantly until frosting holds shape.
Add vanilla.
Makes enough for 2 layers.
