Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. shredded coconut (optional)
1 c. salted, roasted sunflower seeds
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda, salt and baking powder.
Add to creamed mixture, blending well.
Stir in oats, coconut and sunflower seeds.
Chill dough.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Place 2 1/2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Cool on racks. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
