1 c. butter
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
4 c. regular flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter with both sugars.
Add vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla to mixture.
Beat well.
Mix flour, salt, baking powder and cream of tartar.
Add mixture and blend well.
Roll dough into balls and roll each ball into granulated sugar.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheets and flatten with bottom of glass, which has been dipped in sugar.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
