Clam Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    25 medium clams, shucked, drained and chopped fine
    2 medium onions, chopped finely
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    2 c. pancake flour
    1/4 tsp. seasoning salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine pancake mix, salt and pepper; set aside.
    In another bowl beat egg and add onions.
    Mix well.
    Stir mixture into dry ingredients.
    Add clams.
    Stir until smooth.
    Drop clam mixture into large cast-iron skillet with hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
