Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg or 2 egg yolks, well beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter or margarine.
Beat in 1 cup of sugar, egg and vanilla.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Add to butter mixture.
Mix well.
Cover and refrigerate 3 to 4 hours or until dough is firm.
