Real Texas Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 lb. chili meat
3 Tbsp. chili powder
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tsp. whole comino seed
2 tsp. paprika
1 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Brown onion and garlic in bacon drippings; add meat and cook until gray.
Add tomato sauce, water and spices.
Bring to boil and then allow to simmer for at least an hour.
When done, add little flour until desired thickness is reached.
When ready to serve, add pinto beans (cooked) or black-eyed peas or hominy. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
