Minnesota Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    1 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    2 c. milk
    1 (12 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    maraschino cherries
    crushed walnuts
Preparation
    Make cake according to instructions on box in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cool.
    Mix softened cream cheese and pudding.
    Add milk gradually and mix until thick.
    Pour pudding mixture on top of cake.
    Drain pineapple well and put fruit on top of pudding.
