Smothered Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large or 2 small heads cabbage, quartered and cored
2 onions, chopped
4 toes garlic, finely chopped
3 Tbsp. bacon drippings or vegetable oil
1/2 lb. pickled rib tips, diced
1/2 lb. seasoning ham, diced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
Preparation
-
Soak cabbage in water.
Shake off excess water and place in pot with heated bacon drippings or oil.
Add other ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Serves 4.
