Apple Bread Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 slices white bread
1/4 c. soft butter
6 tart apples, sliced thin
grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. cream
1/2 c. pecan halves
Preparation

Spread bread on both sides with butter. Cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
Place half the cubes in a buttered shallow baking dish. Mix apples, lemon juice and rind, both sugars, cinnamon and raisins. Spoon over bread and top with remaining bread cubes. Pour cream over bread. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Sprinkle on pecan halves and return to oven for 10 minutes. Serve in sauce dish with cream.
