Chocolate Mocha-Dot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. strong cooled coffee
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together all dry ingredients.
    Add shortening, 1/2 cup of buttermilk
    and coffee.
    Beat for 2 minutes until well blended and glossy.
    Add 1/3 cup of buttermilk or sour milk, 2 eggs
    and 1
    teaspoon
    of
    vanilla.
    Beat for 2 minutes until smooth.
    Pour into 2 lightly greased and floured 8-inch layer cake pans.
    Bake for
    30
    to
    35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool.
    Ice with Commercial Icing

    Cover top with chocolate chips. Serve cold.
