Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 medium sized beets
    2 qt. water
    1 c. white vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Boil beets, leaving 4-inch tops.
    When tender, place in hot jars (can also slice).
    Boil water, vinegar and sugar.
    Pour over beets.
    Seal.
