Apricot-Almond Upside Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1- 8 3/4 oz can unpeeled apricot halves
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
    1 pkg. 1 layer size yellow cake mix
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    Frozen dessert topping for garnish
Preparation
    Drain apricots, reserving 2 tablespoons syrup.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place butter or margarine in a 9x1 1/2-inch round baking pan.
    Melt butter in pan in oven while preheating.
    Remove pan.
