Ingredients

3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. softened margarine
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs or 3 egg whites
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet real chocolate chips
Preparation

Combine all dry ingredients and set aside.
Beat margarine, sugar, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy.
Blend in flour mixture.
Stir in chips.
Drop from tablespoon, 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Do not overbake.
Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
