Homemade Laundry Detergent

Place grated soap in a pot.
Cover with water and simmer over medium heat until all soap is melted, stirring occasionally.
Pour into 5 gallon bucket.
Add washing soda and borax.
Add enough hot water to fill the bucket.
Stir (I use a long measuring stick, but any long stick will work).
Let sit overnight to gel.
Use 1 cup per load.
(You can pour this into old detergent containers or leave in the bucket. Please cover with a lid if leaving in the bucket to protect children and pets.).

Hard Water Laundry Detergent

Mix ingredients and store in a lidded, labeled canister in the laundry room.
To use: Measure out 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup and wash your clothing in warm or cold water.
Use cold water for the rinse cycle.

Inexpensive Lawn Care

Mix first 3 ingredients.
Add essential oils. Mix with wire whisk until evenly distributed.

Tide Clone Laundry Detergent

Mix all ingredients and put in a plastic container with a lid. An old ice cream bucket works well. Its easy to put equal amounts of ingredients in a plastic bag, seal and shake together.
Use 1-2 Tablespoons per load. You can play around with the amount and try to use less or more, whatever gets your close cleanest. It is still way cheaper than Tide!
I use 1 Tablespoon for large loads and wash my clothes for the 18 minute cycle sometimes. This seems to brighten, whiten, and clean clothes pretty well!

Economical Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap

Fill a saucepan with 6 cups water and add grated Fels Naptha soap.
Heat on low until soap is dissolved.
Stir in Washing soda and borax.
Stir until thickened, and remove from heat.
Add 1 quart hot water to 2 gallon bucket.
Add soap mixture, and mix well.
Fill bucket with hot water, and mix well.
Set aside for 24 hours.
Don't forget to cover the bucket to keep small children and pets out.
Mixture will thicken and gel.
Use 1/2 cup of mixture per load.

Oma'S Laundry Stain Remover

Pour into spray bottle: 1/3 Wisk, 1/3 ammonia& 1/3 water; replace nozzle and shake/shake upon using.
Spray directly onto stained clothes; sit to soak in or just apply prior to washing.
DO NOT USE IF ADDING BLEACH TO LOAD OF WASH; toxic fatal fumes if mixing bleach and ammonia.

Add detergent and baking soda.
Then pour in a cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle.
Hang up the curtains right after washing and let them air-dry.

Homemade Laundry Detergent Tabs

Grate a bar of soap (can also shred in food processor).
Mix the grated soap, baking soda, washing soda, and salt in a large bowl.
Slowly add the vinegar a little at a time and mix until it starts to clump and is easy to manipulate.
Press into ice cube trays (really press hard).
Set the trays out to dry in a sunny place for at least 24 hours.
When you use the tabs, add them in with the load and not in the separate area for detergent if your machine has one. They won't dissolve properly without enough water.

Assemble all ingredients; Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Place apples in a large bowl; sprinkle with water, Truvia(R) natural sweetener, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; toss to coat the fruit.
Spray 9-inch baking dish with non-stick spray; place apple mixture in dish.
In a separate small bowl, combine oats, Truvia(R) natural sweetener, second flour and cinnamon, melted butter, brown sugar and salt; stir to form crumbly mixture.
Sprinkle crumb mixture on top of apples.
Bake 35-40 minutes until apples are tender.

Natural Floor Cleaner

Pour Borax, Vinegar & soap into a bucket. Add water & essential oil (optional). Clean your floor.
Washing Soda can be used instead of borax (might streak on certain types of flooring).
Essential oil is optional for a nicer scent, but is not necessary as you won't smell it once the floor dries.
Once the floor dries, you will NOT smell the vinegar.
Home soap, Dr. Bronner's or any other natural liquid soap can be used.

Natural No-Bake Peanut Butter Energy Bars.

Combine peanut butter and honey in a large nonstick pot and warm up over a low heat until runny and mixed.
Mix in the oatmeal (and protein powder if using).
You don't want to cook it, just heat it up enough to stir everything together nicely.
Press into a 9x9-inch pan.
Let cool, then cut into 16 equal bars.
Wrap each bar in foil and store in plastic bags. - No need to refrigerate as the ingredients are natural.
