Mix sugar and butter in a saucepan; boil for 3 minutes only.
Pour over crackers.

Cut into squares while warm.
Store in refrigerator or freezer.

Make dough for two crust pie.
Break soda crackers into 4 pieces and put into unbaked pie shell.
Boil together 5 or 10 minutes sugar, cinnamon, cream of tartar, lemon juice and water. Pour hot mixture over crackers.
Put on top crust and bake in hot oven (475\u00b0) about 15 minutes or until done.
Mix all ingredients in saucepan and heat until melted.

Pour into pie plate and cook at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 35 minutes.
Put whip cream on top.
Mix soda crackers, baking powder and walnuts.
Beat egg whites, vanilla, sugar and salt in separate bowl.
Fold second mixture into cracker mixture.
Put into 8-inch pie pan (greased). Bake for 30 minutes at 325\u00b0.
Cool.
When pie is completely cooled, top with prepared Dream Whip.
