Note:
Always make soap before the new moon.
Pour Borax, Vinegar & soap into a bucket. Add water & essential oil (optional). Clean your floor.
Washing Soda can be used instead of borax (might streak on certain types of flooring).
Essential oil is optional for a nicer scent, but is not necessary as you won't smell it once the floor dries.
Once the floor dries, you will NOT smell the vinegar.
Home soap, Dr. Bronner's or any other natural liquid soap can be used.
Prepare your soap molds: Spray a very light

Grate the natural soap into a plastic spray bottle (to get soap flakes).
Add the vegetable oil and water to the spray bottle.
Give the bottle a good shake. Now you can start spraying on all your plants.
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients (including 2 cups warm water) until well blended.
Soak casings in 6 cups warm water.
Using about one foot of casing for one pound of meat mixture, stuff the casings.
Keep unused casings wet while working, if they start to dry out, they will tear.
Use in your favorite kielbasa recipes.
Kielbasa can be frozen for later use.
Combine water and baking soda in a glass.
In another glass, combine soap, food coloring and vinegar.
When ready for the eruption, add baking soda solution to the soap/vinegar solution and watch it foam and flow.
Mix all the ingredients together.
Leave to stand for 12 hours and store in a suitable container.
(If you want to tweak this to your liking, remember that you should use about 10 drops of oil per ounce of soap.).
Place grated soap in a pot.
Cover with water and simmer over medium heat until all soap is melted, stirring occasionally.
Pour into 5 gallon bucket.
Add washing soda and borax.
Add enough hot water to fill the bucket.
Stir (I use a long measuring stick, but any long stick will work).
Let sit overnight to gel.
Use 1 cup per load.
(You can pour this into old detergent containers or leave in the bucket. Please cover with a lid if leaving in the bucket to protect children and pets.).
Put 3 gallons water in old-time wash pot.
Melt lye, then grease.
Let boil.
When grease melts, gradually add the remaining water.
Cook slow or it will boil over.
Use wooden paddle to stir constantly.
When soap is done, lift paddle from the pot and it will string.
To test, put a little soap in cold water and it will form a ball.
Can be put in molds.
Do not use aluminum.
Mix everything together, let it cool until it gels. Whisk or beat until it foams. (I used my Kitchenaid mixer.).
Use the foam only with a rough cloth or a brush to scrub the upholstery, making sure not to soak the fabric.
Re-beat the soap as necessary to get more scrubbing bubbles.
As you work, use a clean damp cloth to wipe away the soiled suds.
Grate a bar of soap (can also shred in food processor).
Mix the grated soap, baking soda, washing soda, and salt in a large bowl.
Slowly add the vinegar a little at a time and mix until it starts to clump and is easy to manipulate.
Press into ice cube trays (really press hard).
Set the trays out to dry in a sunny place for at least 24 hours.
When you use the tabs, add them in with the load and not in the separate area for detergent if your machine has one. They won't dissolve properly without enough water.
Grate the bar soap into a storage container with a lid.
Add the borax and washing soda.
mix.
use about 1 Tablespoon per regular size load.
Make sure to keep covered and away from kids and pets!
Combine chicken, beef, pork, water, salt, corn syrup, spices, autolyzed yeast, natural flavorings, sodium nitrate and dried garlic (can be found at Bi-Lo labeled Vienna Sausage).
Place wiener on soda cracker and place entire cracker in mouth.
Wash down with Co-coler.
Serves 4.
Empty can of lye in water.
Stir slowly until lye is dissolved. Allow to stand until lye is completely dissolved and the water is just barely lukewarm.
(The lye heats the water.) Pour grease into large stone bowl or enamel container.
Using wooden spoon or stick, slowly stir while pouring dissolved lye mixture into grease, stirring constantly.
Stir for 15 minutes until mixture begins to get thick.
If soap thickens before time is up, pour into molds lined with wax paper.
Add peel, rosemary and lavender (or you can use any scent items you want) to 4 cups of water. Simmer for 5 minutes covered.
Remove flowers and peel. Add soap flakes and stir until combined.
Add glycerine and stir. Turn off heat.
Bottle when cool.
To make rinse combine white vinegar, 3 cups of water and mint leaves in a bottle and shake.
Use as you would a normal shampoo and conditioner.
Dissolve soap in water and mix well with starch.
Add coloring.
Stir it up until blended, then pour into flat box with sides about 3 inches high. Line box with waxed paper and pour in soap.
Let harden a week or more.
Suggestions include using Johnson & Johnson soap or 4 drops of tea
