Put all above ingredients in an empty fabric softener bottle.
Shake well before use.
Use it just as you would the full strength softener.
1/4 Cup white vinegar to the last rinse cycle of your wash, or if you have a center cup in your washing machine for fabric softener, add the vinegar to that at the start of your wash.
Only use white vinegar,as cider vinegar may stain clothes.
I've been making and using my homemade laundry soap and this fabric softener for nearly a year now. I'll never go back to commercial brands again. I have even dried clothes that I had left overnight in the dryer a second time, to remove wrinkles, with no static.
To a 24 oz or larger spray bottle, mix the 1 part liquid fabric softener to 5 parts water. Shake, then lightly spray over the carpet and allow to dry. (Be sure and test a small inconspicuous area first to be sure it won't stain).
Repeat about every 2-3 months, or when the carpet begins shocking people again.
Once in a while, add 1 cup table salt to hot fire in fireplace or wood burning stove.
Burn potato peelings whenever you have potatoes.
Run 1 litre of hot water into sink.
Dissolve 1 tbsp of fabric softener and 1 tbsp salt in the water.
Place aluminum foil on the bottom of the sink.
Place tarnished silver on the foil.
Make sure silver is completely immersed.
Silver will come clean in 10 seconds.
To freshen dusty stuffed animals, put in dryer.
Set on Air and add several fabric softener sheets.
Run dryer on Air or Fluff for 20 minutes.
In a spray bottle, pour the fabric softener and water. Screw on the top and spray liberally over wallpaper. Wait 5-15 minutes, then using a sharp scraper, go to work!
Put Downy and water in bottle and spray on furniture, carpeting, pillows, shower curtains -- etc -- To do a fabric test, spray small amount in an area where it cannot be seen.
I never sprayed this on anything white, but I spray it all over my house, once a week.
Mix the last two ingredients well in the spray bottle.
Hang garment on a hanger.
Gently mist with spray.
Lightly tug and smooth the fabric and allow to hang dry.
Make Rich Tea Biscuit dough, adding more milk to make a drop biscuit dough. Spread the dough 1/2 inch deep in an oblong 9 x 12-inch baking dish. Peel and pare apples; cut in eighths. Press apple slices into top of dough very close together. (It won't hurt if more than a layer thick.) Dot with butter or oleo. Mix cinnamon and sugar together.
Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done. Serve warm or cold with Lemon Sauce (recipe follows).
