Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, allowing foil to hang over the edges. Grease the foil.
In a medium bowl combine confectioners' sugar, cocoa and cinnamon.
Heat butter and milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat. When butter is melted stir in vanilla. Remove from heat and stir in sugar mixture and walnuts.
Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate for 1 hour, or until firm.
Lift foil out of pan. Cut fudge into 2 inch squares, and then cut in half diagonally to make triangles.

Boil for approximately 5 minutes or until mixture reaches 234 degrees on a candy thermometer.

I had to make a double batch of fudge icing to get the right thickness of icing for this cake. The icing recipe I used was a combination of 2 different recipes.
In saucepan combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil, and cook for 1 minute Remove from heat. Whisk with an electric mixer, for 2.5 - 3 minutes, or until it thickens enough. Pour over cooled or warm cake. Doubled this for a 9x13.

Combine oats and flax meal. Add water and stir to combine, using less water for thicker oatmeal and more water for thinner oatmeal.
Microwave on high for 1 minute.
Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Return to microwave and set timer for 2 minutes. Heat on high stirring every 20-30 seconds until desired consistency is reached. Watch carefully or it might bubble over.
Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.

Mix flour, soda, cinnamon, and oats and add slowly to creamed mixture.
Spread 2/3 of this into 9x13 pan (it will be a bit thin).
For fudge filling, melt remaining ingredients in a saucepan and pour over dough in pan.
Shape the remaining dough into circles and press them into the fudge.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes, or until topping is lightly browned.
Let cool quite a bit before cutting into bars, as it will result in a delicious gooey mess!
