Amish Friendship Cake Initial STARTER:
Day 1-

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the Amish Friendship Starter, eggs, oil and vanilla. Gradually stir in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Finally stir in the chopped nuts and apples. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a loaf comes out clean.
Combine cake mix, Friendship Cake Starter, oil and eggs in bowl; mix well.
Stir in pecans.
Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Cool in pan for several minutes.
Invert onto serving plate.
Yield: 12 servings.

Bake in a preheated 325 degree F(165 degrees C) oven for one hour. Cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack. Remove bread from pan.

Pour starter into glass gallon jar and add 1 can peaches and juice (cut each slice into 4 pieces).
Add 2 1/2 cups sugar.
Stir, cover jar loosely and keep at room temperature. Stir every day for 10 days.
It may take several days for sugar to dissolve.

In 1/2 gallon jar combine peach brandy, 1 cup of sugar and canned peaches.
Two weeks later, add 1 cup of sugar and canned pineapple.
After two more weeks, add 1 cup of sugar and cherries. After two more weeks, drain the fruit in colander.
Use fruit in cake and save 1 cup of liquid to start your next cake. Invite a friend over for coffee and cake.

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a glass gallon jar; let set for 2 weeks, covered loosely with foil with a wooden spoon inserted through the foil to stir daily.
Do not remove foil or spoon.
Be sure to stir daily.
After 2 weeks, add the next 3 ingredients; let set 2 more weeks, stirring daily.
In the fourth week, add the next 3 ingredients; stir daily.
In the sixth week, strain fruit from the juice using a plastic strainer (do not use metal).
You may use fruit for ice cream topping.
