Catsup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. unpeeled tomatoes
2 Tbsp. salt
3 c. sugar
2 c. sharp vinegar
1 Tbsp. stick cinnamon
1 tsp. ground mustard
2 tsp. red pepper
1 Tbsp. mixed spices
3 Tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with a little vinegar
Preparation

Combine tomatoes, salt, sugar, vinegar, cinnamon, mustard, red pepper and mixed spices in kettle.
Boil hard for 1 hour.
Strain. Return to stove and thicken with cornstarch, moistened with a little vinegar.
Boil for 10 minutes.
Very good. I prefer to use only 1 teaspoon red pepper.
