2 Step Green Beans - cooking recipe

3 lbs green beans
8oz Parmesan cheese grated
salt
pepper
Preparation

Turn broiler to high; put the rack 6 in from heat. Trim ends from green beans and cut into 2 in pieces if like. Put beans in microwave-safe dish, add 1/4 c water and cover. Cook on high, checking once or twice, until they're crisp-tender, 5-7 mins. Grate 2 cups parmesan cheese. When beans are ready, transfer to broiler safe pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and top with Parmesan. Broil until cheese bubbles and brown, 2-3 mins. Serve hot.
