Gooey Chocolate Spoon Cake - cooking recipe

3/4 cup sugar
1 cup self-rising flour
6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, divided
1 1/2 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
Preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, flour, 3 tablespoons of the cocoa powder, milk, melted butter and vanilla. Mix well and pour into a greased 8 x 8-inch baking dish.
2.In another bowl combine the brown sugar and remaining 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Sprinkle the mixture over the cake batter. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Allow to cool slightly, then spoon into serving dishes and serve warm alongside vanilla ice cream
