Fairy Wand Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
    2/3 cup granulated sugar
    1 None egg
    1 cup self-rising flour + 2 tbsp
    1 cup all-purpose flour + 2 tbsp
    3/4 cup powdered sugar
    3 tsp lemon juice
    1 drop red food coloring
    None None multicolored sprinkles, to decorate
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper. Cream butter and sugar until light and creamy. Add egg and beat until combined. Sift and fold in flour. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll to 1/4 inch thick. Cut out 14 - 2 3/4 inch stars.
    Arrange 14 popsicle sticks on prepared trays. Using an offset spatula, carefully transfer cookies to top end of each stick. Press in gently to secure. Bake for 15 mins, or until golden brown. Remove from oven. Let cool on trays.
    Combine powdered sugar and lemon juice. Tint with food coloring then spread over cooled cookies. Decorate with sprinkles and allow to set.
