Malaysian Sambal Shrimp - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 None onion, thinly sliced
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp sambal oelek (Southeast Asian chile paste)
9 oz green beans, trimmed
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 None long red chili pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
1/4 tsp sesame oil
None None Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
None None Lime wedges, to serve
Preparation

Heat oil in a large wok on medium heat. Stir-fry onion for 1-2 mins or until tender.
Add shrimp and sambal. Stir-fry 2-3 mins until fragrant and shrimp just change color.
Add green beans, sugar, soy sauce and fresh chili pepper, if desired. Stir-fry 2-3 mins or until shrimp are cooked through.
Drizzle with a few drops of sesame oil. Serve with steamed rice and lime wedges.
