Beef And Mushroom Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tbsp olive oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 lb lean ground beef
    10.5 oz large cremini mushrooms, quartered
    1 tbsp flour
    1 cup beef stock
    2 tbsp tomato paste
    4 oz frozen peas
    3 sheets frozen pie dough, slightly thawed
    1 None large egg, lightly beaten
    None None tomato sauce, to serve
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
    Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook garlic for 30 seconds, until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook for 5 mins, stirring to break up lumps, until browned. Add mushrooms and cook for 2-3 mins, until soft. Add flour and cook for 1 min. Stir in beef stock and tomato paste. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5-10 mins, until mixture thickens slightly. Stir in peas. Season.
    Cut 4 - 6 inch discs from pie dough. Use to line 4 - 4 inch pie dishes. Fill with beef mixture. Cut 4 - 5 inch discs from remaining pastry. Cover pies with pastry discs and use a fork to crimp edges to seal. Brush with beaten egg and prick tops with a fork. Bake for 20-25 mins, until golden brown. Serve with tomato sauce.
