Amaretti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 cups ground almonds
    1 cup sugar
    2 None egg whites
    1/4 tsp almond extract
    20 None blanched almonds
Preparation
    Beat the ground almonds, sugar, egg whites and vanilla extract in a medium bowl with electric mixer for 3 mins. Let stand for 5 mins.
    Spoon the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a 1/2-inch plain tube. Pipe the mixture onto greased pans in a circular motion from the center out, to make cookies about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
    Top each cookie with an almond. Cover loosely with foil and let stand at room temperature overnight.
    Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F.
    Bake for about 12 mins or until lightly browned. Cool in pan 5 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
