1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 None large egg
1 2/3 cups self-rising flour
3/4 cup ground almonds
2 None pears, cored, sliced
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp ground ginger
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup heavy cream
3.5 oz white chocolate
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Line a 9x7 inch rimmed baking tray with parchment paper.
In a stand mixer, cream butter and sugar for 3-4 mins, until pale and fluffy. Add egg and beat until combined. Add flour and almonds and mix until just combined. Transfer 3/4 of batter to prepared pan and smooth out. Bake for 15 mins, until just set and starting to brown.
Toss pears with lemon juice, ginger, sugar and cornstarch. Arrange over batter. Combine remaining almond mixture with oats. Sprinkle over pears and bake for 25-30 mins, until golden brown. Let cool for 15 mins.
Meanwhile, heat heavy cream in a saucepan until almost boiling. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate until melted and smooth. Serve with crumble.
