Bangers And Mash With Onion Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 None red-skinned potatoes, peeled, cut into chunks
    2 tbsp butter
    2/3 cup hot milk
    2 None large red onions, sliced
    1/2 cup beef stock
    8 None sausages
Preparation
    For the mashed potatoes, cook potatoes in boiling, salted water 15 mins, until soft. Drain and coarsely mash with the butter and hot milk. Season.
    Meanwhile, for the gravy, cook onion in a medium saucepan on low heat with 2 tbsp water, stirring frequently, 8-10 mins, until browned and very soft. Stir in stock, reduce heat to low and cook 4 mins, until sauce thickens slightly.
    Heat a nonstick frying pan on medium and cook sausages 10 mins, turning, until browned and crisp on all sides. Serve sausages with mashed potatoes and onion gravy.
