Apple And Ricotta Fritters - cooking recipe

15 oz ricotta cheese
3/4 cup gluten-free self-rising flour, sifted
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 None large egg
1 None large apple, peeled, chopped finely
None None vegetable oil, for deep-frying
1/3 cup cinnamon sugar
2 tbsp maple syrup
Preparation

Combine ricotta, flour, sugar, nutmeg, egg and apple in a medium bowl.
Heat oil in a large saucepan to 350\u00b0F. Working in batches, deep-fry rounded tablespoons of ricotta mixture until golden brown. Transfer to paper towels to drain. Toss fritters in cinnamon sugar.
Serve drizzled with maple syrup.
