Coffee And Caramel Peanut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 cups butter
    2 1/4 cups sugar
    3 None eggs
    3/4 cup 2% milk
    2 tbsp instant coffee
1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
    5 tsp baking powder
5 tbsp coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua)
    3/4 cup heavy cream
1 1/4 lbs salted, roasted peanuts, chopped
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0F. Grease a 15 x 12 inch baking sheet. Beat the butter and 2/3 cup of sugar with the whisk of a mixer until creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
In a saucepan, heat 1/4 cup of milk and stir in the coffee until dissolved. Add the remaining milk and remove from the heat. Sift the flour and baking powder together and gradually stir into the egg mixture, alternating with the coffee milk, until everything is incorporated. Spoon into the baking sheet and smooth out. Bake for 15 mins. Remove from the oven and drizzle with the liqueur.
In a saucepan, heat 1 1/4 cups of sugar and 5 tbsp water until caramelized. Stir in the cream, and the peanuts. Simmer for 1 min. Spread over the cake and allow to cool.
In a separate saucepan, heat 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 tbsp water until golden brown and caramelized. Using a teaspoon, drizzle in a crisscross pattern on a sheet of parchment paper. Allow to set.
Cut the cake into 24 bars. Break the caramel lattice into pieces and use to decorate the bars.
