Fruit Salad In Spiced Syrup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup sugar
    1 None vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped
    1 None cinnamon stick
    6 None cardamom pods, slightly crushed
    1 None pineapple, peeled, cored and cubed
    1/2 None large papaya, peeled, seeded and cubed
    1/2 None cantaloupe, peeled, seeded and cubed
    1/4 None small watermelon, peeled and cubed
Preparation
    Place 1 cup water and sugar in a small saucepan on low heat. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
    Add the vanilla bean and seeds, cinnamon stick and cardamom pods. Bring to a boil without stirring. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 mins without stirring. Remove from heat and cool. Remove vanilla pod, cinnamon stick and cardamom pods.
    Pour cooled syrup over fruit in a large shallow dish. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hr, stirring occasionally, before serving.
