Chocolate Chip And Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 tbsp softened butter
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 large eggs
    1/2 cup self-raising flour, sifted
    7 oz finely chopped dark chocolate
    1/3 cup milk
    1 None orange, grated zest, 1/3 cup juice
    None None Icing
    11 tbsp softened butter
    2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
    1 tbsp milk
    None None grated orange zest, to decorate
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Lightly grease and line a 4 x 8 inch loaf pan with baking paper.
    In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and vanilla together, until pale and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Divide into 2 bowls.
    Fold 3/4 of flour and chocolate into one bowl, alternately with milk. Fold remaining flour into second bowl with orange juice and zest. Spoon the two mixtures alternately into pan.
    Bake 40-45 minutes, until cooked when tested. Cool in pan 5 minutes, before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely.
    To make icing, in a bowl, beat butter until pale using an electric mixer. Gradually beat in powdered sugar then enough milk to make a spreadable consistency. Spread icing over cold loaf. Sprinkle with zest and serve sliced.
