Rhubarb And Apple Crumble - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb sliced rhubarb
1 None green apple, peeled, cored, sliced
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp ground ginger
None None Topping
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1/3 cup sliced almonds
4 1/2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp golden syrup
None None heavy cream, ice cream or custard, to serve (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
Bring rhubarb, apple, sugar, 1 tbsp water and ginger to a boil, stirring. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 mins, or until mixture is thick and pulpy. Transfer to a large baking dish.
For the topping, combine flour, oats, coconut and almonds. Heat butter and syrup in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring, for 1-2 mins, until melted. Pour into flour mixture and mix well. Sprinkle evenly over rhubarb and apple mixture. Bake for 10-15 mins, or until golden brown.
Serve crumble warm with heavy cream, ice cream or custard, if desired.
