Gingerbread With Cream Cheese Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 cup butter
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    1/3 cup molasses
    1 None large egg
    2 1/3 cups flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    1/4 tsp grated nutmeg, plus extra for garnish
    1/4 tsp ground cloves
    2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    1 cup cream cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Line an 8x12 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
    Beat 1/2 cup butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract and molasses until creamy. Add egg. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and spices. Add to wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for about 15 mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool.
    Meanwhile, to make the icing, beat remaining butter with powdered sugar and cream cheese until creamy. Spread over cake then chill for 4 hours. To serve, sprinkle cake with a little nutmeg.
