Caramel And Cinnamon Roasted Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 None ripe pears, peeled, cored, stems intact
    1 1/4 cups sugar
    3 tbsp butter, chopped
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    None None Heavy cream, to serve
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0F. Place pears in an 8 inch square baking dish.
    In a medium heavy-based saucepan, place sugar over moderately low heat. Cook and stir 8-10 minutes or until sugar dissolves and turns a rich golden brown. Remove from heat. Stand 1 minute or until bubbles subside. Carefully stir in 1/2 cup water (mixture may bubble). Add butter and cinnamon. Place over low heat; cook and stir 2 minutes or until melted and smooth.
    Carefully pour caramel sauce evenly over pears in dish. Bake, occasionally basting pears with caramel sauce, 1 hour or until tender. Serve pears with cream.
