Caramel-Coated Pears And Strawberries - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 None large strawberries, a toothpick inserted in each stem
1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
4 None pears, stems intact
3.5 oz dark chocolate, melted
Preparation

Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper.
Combine sugar and 1/3 cup water over low heat. Cook for 3 mins, or until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil. Boil, without stirring, for 8 mins, or until mixture caramelizes. Set aside for 30 seconds, until bubbles subside.
For the strawberries, carefully dip strawberries, individually, into caramel to coat, letting excess drip off. Place on prepared tray.
For the pears, carefully dip each pear 2/3 deep into caramel, holding by the stem, letting excess drip off. Place on prepared tray. Set aside for 15 mins, or until caramel sets. Dip base of each pear into melted chocolate and set aside for 20 mins to set. Serve.
