Meatball Sub - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb ground beef
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    3 tbsp dried breadcrumbs
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
    2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    1 None egg, lightly whisked
1 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
    1/3 cup tomato puree
    1 None Turkish pide bread
    2 oz baby spinach
    1/3 cup cheese, grated
None None mixed greens, to serve
Preparation
Preheat broiler. Combine ground meat, 3 cloves garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Worcestershire and egg. Using damp hands, shape mixture into 24 meatballs. Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in a frying pan over medium heat, cook meatballs, in batches, for 3 mins, or until browned. Set aside.
Reduce heat, add remaining oil and cook remaining garlic, stirring, for 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Add tomato puree and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 mins, or until sauce thickens slightly. Return meatballs to pan and coat in sauce. Cover and simmer for 5 mins, or until meatballs are cooked.
Using a serrated knife, cut a 1/3 inch slice horizontally off top of bread. Place both pieces of bread, cut-side up, on a large baking tray. Top bread base with spinach then meatball mixture. Sprinkle with cheese then broil for 2 mins, or until golden. Transfer to a chopping board. Add top piece of bread and sandwich together. Cut into 4 equal pieces. Serve with mixed greens.
