Chocolate Hazelnut Hand Pies - cooking recipe

1/3 cup milk
3 tbsp butter
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup ground hazelnuts
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup hazelnuts, chopped, toasted
10 oz frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 None egg yolk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Bring 1/4 cup milk and butter to a boil. Remove from heat. Add cocoa powder, ground hazelnuts and sugar. Mix until combined. Let cool then stir in hazelnuts.
Roll out puff pastry into a 18x9 inch rectangle. Cut into 12 rectangles. Cut slits across 1/2 of the rectangles. Mix egg yolk with remaining milk then brush over edges of plain rectangles. Spread hazelnut mixture over centers. Cover with remaining pastry (with slits) and press edges together firmly to seal. Brush tops with egg wash and bake for 15 mins, until golden brown.
Serve warm or cold.
