Trail Mix Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, chopped
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup honey
    2/3 cup sesame seeds
    2/3 cup finely chopped dried apricots
    2/3 cup finely chopped pitted dried dates
    1/2 cup finely chopped unsweetened dried cranberries
    1/2 cup sunflower seeds
    2/3 cup quinoa flakes
    1/2 cup flaked coconut
    1/4 cup self-rising flour
    1 None egg, lightly beaten
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0F. Grease a foil lined 8-inch square baking pan, with foil extending at 2 opposite sides for handles.
    Place butter, sugar and honey in a small saucepan on low heat. Cook, stirring, 2 mins, or until sugar dissolves and butter is melted. Bring to a boil on high heat. Boil 3 mins, or until reduced slightly. Remove from heat; cool 5 mins.
    Place half the sesame seeds, dried fruit, sunflower seeds, quinoa, coconut and flour in a large bowl; mix well. Add cooled butter mixture and egg; mix until well combined. Press into prepared pan; smooth surface with a spatula. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds.
    Bake 20-25 mins, or until golden. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Refrigerate 1 hour. Trim edges. Cut into bars to serve.
