Ginger Beef - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 tbsp peanut oil
1 1/2 lb sirloin steak, trimmed, thinly sliced
1 None medium red onion, cut into wedges
1/2 cup almonds, coarsely chopped
2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
2 tsp garlic, minced
8 oz Chinese broccoli, chopped
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, drained, halved
2 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped
4 None spring onions, thinly sliced
None None shredded spring onion, to serve
None None peanuts, chopped, to serve
None None vermicelli rice noodles, to serve
Preparation

Heat 1 tbsp peanut oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Stir-fry beef for 1-2 mins, until browned. Set aside. Cover to keep warm.
Add remaining peanut oil. Stir-fry onion, almonds, ginger and garlic for 2-3 mins, until onion is tender. Add broccoli, oyster sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir fry 1-2 mins, until broccoli is just tender. Return beef to pan. Add water chestnuts, basil and spring onions. Stir-fry for 1-2 mins, until heated through.
Garnish with shredded spring onion and chopped peanuts. Serve with vermicelli rice noodles.
