Cinnamon Teacake - cooking recipe

5 tbsp butter, chopped, 1 tbsp melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar, plus 1 tbsp
1 None egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup self-rising flour, sifted + 2 tbsp
1/3 cup 2% milk
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Lightly grease and line a deep 7 inch cake pan with parchment paper.
Cream 4 tbsp butter and sugar until pale and creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Fold in flour alternately with milk until well combined. Transfer to prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 mins. Turn out onto a wire rack. Combine cinnamon and remaining sugar. Brush hot cake with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Serve warm.
