Banana Toffee Pie - cooking recipe

1/4 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
14 tbsp (1 3/4 sticks) cold butter, chopped
1 None egg yolk
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp corn syrup
2 None bananas, thinly sliced
1 1/4 cups heavy cream, whipped
None None Chocolate curls, to decorate
Preparation

Lightly grease a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
Sift flour into a large bowl. Add sugar and 1 stick butter. Rub in butter using fingertips until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add egg yolk and knead to make a firm but pliable dough. Knead lightly. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 mins.
Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Roll pastry out between 2 sheets of parchment paper to 1/8-inch thickness. Press into tart pan and trim edges. Refrigerate for 15 mins.
Line pastry with parchment paper and fill with dried beans. Bake for 10 mins. Remove paper and beans. Bake for 10-15 mins until golden. Cool.
Place condensed milk, brown sugar, syrup and 6 tbsp butter in a saucepan on low heat. Stir for 8-10 mins until golden. Cool. Pour into tart crust. Refrigerate until firm.
Cover caramel with sliced bananas. Serve in wedges dolloped with whipped cream. Sprinkle with chocolate curls.
